    Hey guys,

Did you all noticed that when he get a crit, the Man-at-Arms will often say things like “This line will not break” or “Now that’s a proper flanking” ?

This is refering to this terrible batle, it must be because he’s traumatised from this fight. But still, seeing the banner holding up, it gave him hope and motivation to still fight afainst the evil lurking near the hamlet.

My soul is silver, my heart is gold,
Shining to erase the darkness of my thoughts...

This green flag remind me the crusader’s heal animation. Amasing comic by the way 🙂

The Man-at-Arms is in the middle of of a massive, brutal battle. He tries to drag a fellow soldier to safety, but by the time he reaches a safe zone, the soldier( and everyone else on the field) is dead.

I just realized what’s going on; he’s not the only survivor of his side, he’s the only survivor!

Hey, at least he got that green flag.

After that, he was done with holy wars…

I can’t think a war more holy than the one he and the other heroes are fighting now.

Yeah. The war portrayed here doesn’t strike me particularly as religious.

I don’t entirely understand this comic nor the Man-at-Arms’ motivation. He’s in a battle and tries to save someone. He fails to do so but manages to survive and decides to fight evil, instead of fighting the other men?

The page is clogged with numerous panels, but there are so many close-ups that it’s hard to get what’s going on or what’s their importance (for example; panels 6, 7 and 9) . It’s very unclear what the green banner signifies. A safe zone?

I don’t think this is at all about fighting other factions. I think the Man at Arms has a major case of survivor’s guilt. He feels responsible for his men’s deaths, and has sought out the Darkest Dungeon to atone.

Are you sure? That looks like one hell of a wheel to me, Dakasis.
