Ohohohohohohoho, this looks awesome. Vampires will definitely be a welcome challenge for the game. Probably inflicting lots of bleed and debuffs, I’d think. I relish the day when they face an Abomination and learn that the best monster killers are monsters themselves.October 5, 2016 at 4:30 am #202800
So what I am getting from this is new enemies for sure. Duh. However, the speculation begins on what level of enemies we get. Is this a simple mini boss enemy that will pop up through the game when the torch is low and someone is bleeding out? Is this a new set of bosses like the Prophet and the Necromancer that will pop up in the ruins? Or does it bring a new small set of enemies that are vampire themed throughout the game? These are what I expect, but I hope that we get a new location entirely with everything I mentioned prior. And of course a new Hero. To be franked, I hope that the new hero is a monster hunter/ hunter or maybe a noblemen, because we have one cool monster as a party member at that is enough. But I would see the benefit of having another monster hero. For example, if we could form enough monster heros together they could be like the Lovecraftian Avengers. Or Maybe two heroes one a monster and another a holy hero like the crusader so neither one would work together and add more tension and creative party compositions. Think about it, it would so cool if events come up in the game where you have to choose between having holy classes or Monster classes. Law abiding heros or criminal heros. This would add a hole new element to the game. But the simple news is this, more DD, more fun. Can’t wait for more news.October 5, 2016 at 6:38 pm #203032
PCgamer says ths dlc will include a new hero!October 6, 2016 at 3:27 pm #203316
I am truly thrilled to see DLC for this game. However, I must ask: What kind of paywall will it have? Will the DLC be free so long as you own the game, or will there be a download fee?
Either way, I’m very excited to see what this game will do next.October 8, 2016 at 4:59 am #204049
Can i play this new content with my old NG+ save file? And do i have more time than couple days before ‘game over’ screens comes if darkest dungeon is completed? :<October 9, 2016 at 3:30 am #204385
Sounds great Red Hook! Can’t wait for more of this fantastic game.October 9, 2016 at 8:54 am #204447
I hope this is a proper DLC and not just a single new hero or few new enemies. I want a new dungeon, new status effects, new enemies, new items and so on.October 11, 2016 at 3:05 am #205158
Great!!! Do we have any information of what this will include?October 13, 2016 at 4:19 pm #206141
I really would love to have another monster hero like the abomination. A dhampir. Two modes is the personal token of the abomination, but maybe an ability that works differently the less light you have. Also an attack that deals extra damage to bleeding targets. Please make it real Red Hook! (was gonna say red hookers, but that sounds so wrong)October 23, 2016 at 5:53 am #210195
Now I have some inducement to make a Vampire: Dark Ages conversion for Darkest Dungeon.
The most eldritch and twisted of mezzanine: the benighted passages of the mortal mind made manifest.October 28, 2016 at 2:30 pm #212134
I’m intrigued, but it seems odd to introduce DLC when the base game is still clunky and could use some updates.
Ability tooltips need a clean-up, controls are weird*, heirloom conversion is weird**, and there are a lot of ability or weapon upgrades that are almost worthless.
* volume buttons open the character page…?
** if a 2:3 exchange is happening, it should be 0/1/2/2/3/4, not 0/0/2/2/2/4.November 1, 2016 at 2:21 pm #214026
I’m totally digging this. But I still don’t know how they are going to tie this in with the Cthulhu-inspired theme.November 15, 2016 at 7:25 pm #218988
I think these vampire enemies will cause bleed, and when we that happens… they will heal for however much we bled for.
Though I do hope for a new vampire-like hero where he sacrifices a % of health to deal extra damage to an enemy, however has some ability to counter that *cough* vampirism.
Possibly new quirks? Traits?
IM SO EXCITED.

Please make the Musketeer available for those that buy this. Bought Darkest Dungeon for PC, PS4/Vita, but I was late in finding out about this game and so I didn’t get the chance to help fund the kickstarter. I can accept being blocked from Musketeer on PC, but please make it available on PS4 & Vita.
Look forward to this expansion, but would really like the chance to play with Musketeer class. I know it was accidentally unlocked for PS4 for a short period, but the game has since been patched, which blocks it out again. Please make it available for PS4/Vita owners, I’m begging you!December 13, 2016 at 10:23 am #227865
Im excited to see what this new DLC will bring. Maybe im the only person that thinks this but I think adding basic magic and witches or something would be a really cool addition. If not an official DLC hopefully an add on from the workshop when it is released. Have her abilities be spells such as fire water/ice and Lightning. Of course the game is amazing by itself but the old school magic and witches would seem to fit the theme of that era.
