He took a deep breath, as he made his way to stand abreast to Grom; after hastily muttering apologies to the unfortunate souls to have had their toes stepped(Thankfully, metaphorically) on in his brutish presumption of the vanguard.

The Crusader let out a quiet rumble of a chuckle, as he brought his sword about into a combative mid-guard stance. Though, he eyed the piles of bones warily, as well as the bloody combat.
“An ambush..?” He pointed his sword at the piles of bones, still maintaining his ready stance, before grunting, shaking his head: he knew it was a poor choice, and he knew flagellance was due for it. But his fingers flexed around the hilt of his longsword, looking out to the bandits and cultists alike.

“… Prepare for it.”, he declared, as he started a charge towards the Cultists; doing his best to approach from such an angle to line them both up as he brought up his left shoulder, dedicating himself wholly to a momentous charge in hopes of reaching them before they had time to react.
Despite the righteous and violent activity; Dominic, to his credit, kept his mouth shut and quiet, besides the huge thuds respective of a man of his size and caliber.

Dominic, no matter how hard he tried, could not be silent enough not to draw attention to him. The room was fit for his charging to produce echoes upon echoes of stomping feet that traveled and alerted the 3 still fighting.

The Bandit’s eyes darted to Dominic, widening in fear as a behemoth of a man in full armor was charging at him. Luckily for him, the cultists were also distracted and transfixed on Dominic, giving ample oppurtunity.

His instincts kicked in, and swiftly moved behind the cultist on the right, where the cultists were now lined up from his view. He quickly stabbed the cultist in front of him with both daggers before giving a strong kick to the man’s back. This caused the cultist to be pushed into the other cultist, giving Dominic the perfect opportunity he needed.

EGOMET VOS CAEDITI!!!” The Darkslayer declared, as he felt the first Cultist smash into his shoulder; gritting his teeth as he felt both structures of flesh and bone collide, pleased that he hadn’t fallen over as he felt the secondary impact of the other Cultist past the first.

    “FEAR ME!!!”
He roared, as he brought his sword point up, the critically sharp head of the blade slicing easily through the Cultist’s skin, albeit shallowly, as Dominic brought the point to the Dark Worshipper’s heart and plunged it through; doing his best to keep the pressure on with his shoulder, as he pushed through the man. Doing his best to grab his Longsword’s crossguard to assist in shishekebabing the two men.

His focus primarily being on slaying the two Cultists and keeping his charge moving.

The cultist’s screamed in pain, before the first one promptly died quickly and the second was soon to go down below as well. The second one however was swinging wildly in front, aiming for Dominic with what strength and will he had left. This would continue for a few minutes, any wounds would be apparent once the strikes ended.

“Fuck!” The bandit yelled, diving to the left of the charging Dominic when he saw the bodies still moving onward. Daggers still in hand he looked back at the behemoth of a man. Wondering if he was on his side.

“Bloody…” Grom muttered under his breath. He didn’t have time to curse the knight for blowing their stealthy approach, instead watching awestruck how the cultists were impaled.

As movement in his peripheral vision betrayed the bandit dodging away from the charge, muscle memory kicked in, the gun quickly pointed forward at the man. A split-second later, the decision was made – the trigger pulled, sending lead his way.

The cultist would finally die, his attacks have done little to nothing since Dominic was wearing armor. Dominic would be free to end his charge whenever he deemed fit, and if he didn’t, well, there would be a wall to stop him.

The shot rung out, echoing throughout the room which drew the bandit’s attention to look towards it. It would sadly be his downfall as the shot collided directly with his face killing him instantly. What could’ve possibly been a chance to escape was gone, the last person who had been alive was now dead thanks to Grom.

WIth a grunt and rough push, The Darkslayer swung his sword to the left, away from the bandit, as he slid the bodies away and off his longsword. He rolled his shoulders and flourished the sword; letting the Cultist’s blood spatter on the ground as he looked back to Grom and raised a fist in the air with a chuckle.
    “Glorious!”

Though he hummed and opened the hand, signifying the group to halt as he looked around at the bones: he pointed to them with his sword.
“They may yet rise again. Be vigilant.”
He ordered, as he walked over to a pile of bones and examined them: primarily checking for damage, but doubly for any regalia such as the one on the Knight of The Light; the respective helm still yet lashed to his belt.

Aria had watched it all, at first dumbstruck as Dominic charged in and dealt with the cultists. But then anger rose as Grom went and shot the bandit that dove out of the way.

“WHY DID YOU KILL HIM?! HE COULD’VE GAVE US ANOTHER WAY OUT YOU IDIOT!” Aria screamed at Grom, going as far as to push the man forcefully in her anger.

Mallilie slid into the room, scanning it for any missed threats. She huffed and cradled her rifle, and gave Aria an unimpressed look as she shouted at the others. The musketeer sauntered past Dominic, idly watching his pilfering. She looked about for the next passage.
“Welp. If I’d known you boys were so chivalrous, I wouldn’t had to even bring my rifle.”

Grom quickly noticed a small angry woman charging him, trying his best to sway out of the way. “Fuck off!” he retaliated with a growl and a moderately strong push of his own. “And be quiet, dammit! All that fighting was bound to attract unwanted attention, now you’re making it worse!”

“I ain’t taking chances with scum.” the outlaw said gruffly, speaking with experience in the matter. “I have to stay focused on what’s ahead of us. Hard to do while having to watch my back.” He spat to the side, now hunched over the corpse. Looking for weapons, money, bullets; anything of interest, really. “He coulda ran to his friends, he coulda pulled a gun on me, he coulda been uncooperative. I’m just keeping it simple.”

The pile of bones were extremely damaged, cracked or broken, these old bones were not going to rise again. Other than that there were indeed other insignia’s like the one Dominic was looking for. 3 total were on the floor around the bones coinciding with the number of skeletons that were once there. They would stand out as the only bright color amongst the black and grey.

For Grom, the prizes of his search would be different for the cultist group and the bandit group.
The bandits held ammo for him, and a little more importantly were tattoos on the bandits face all in the same place. The tattoo itself was a wolfs face, almost burned into the skin. A specialized group perhaps?
While the cultist’s had pieces of paper on each one, all written in the same style of writing and saying the same things, a type of mission.

Find it, kill it, it is against us. Do not let it live. The notes said, not describing what it was. Perhaps a creature? Nothing was telling that for certain.

And finally, Mal would easily tell where the next exit was as the stone archway like before was ahead directly across from where the group had entered. Curiously enough, she would see the blood trail from their entrance, to the massacre, was continuing onward into the archway. It was a troubling indicator for certain of what may be ahead.

Aria was pushed a few steps back almost on her ass but thankfully kept herself up right. She would also lower her voice as she spoke again but the anger would still be there as she seethed. “His friends are dead on the floor. If you looked he held daggers in both hands, meanwhile his friends guns are too far away from him. And for god’s sake we have the means of either money or Dominic to make him cooperate. You keeping it simple might’ve at least cost us an easy way out, or at most the only other way out! If we survive this, I hope you learn something from it. Cause clearly you’re missing something in that brain of yours if you think killing a valuable source of info just because they might be a problem is the right answer. sigh Do you see anything interesting on them at least? Maybe a map?” Aria asked.

The Giant grumbled a response to Mal and the company, as he collected up the insignia’s and laid them out on the ground before him; his heavy hand graced over their imagery and he leaned in with some scrutiny before sighing.
Dominic tapped the three prongs of the gilded torch on his helm,
Ye who hath burnt to ash; may ye find peace in my radiance.“, he murmured carefully before scooping up the insignia’s and slipped them into his belt.

He rose, at last and looked back to the party, then the forth-set archway Mallilie; his own steps taking the van once again. Looking into the dark abyss, he huffed and nodded.
“Mmmh, The Storm strikes rare on the battlefield; yet many take it as an omen from the gods themselves.” He assured the Musketeer, looking down and patting her heavily on the shoulder.
“Let us have some glory before your Thunder.” He chuckled, looking back to Grom and Aria.

“Come! We must press forth with this momentum. Fire burns brighter in a rushing gale.”

Mal grumbled and glared at Dominic’s broad back.
“Raggin fraggin ‘Little Thunder’… I’ll show you some little…”
She muttered below her breath, meanwhile her eyes followed the trail of blood that lead through the next doorway. The musketeer readied her rifle again, before tossing a snarky look at Aria.
“If you wanna stop and ask directions, there’s bound to be more throat-cutters ahead. I bet they’ll be real chipper and accommodate, eh?”

There was so much wrong with what Aria tried to say, Grom didn’t even bother correcting her. Let her live in the fairytale world. Instead, he passed her the note he found on the cultists. “No map, only this.”

Not waiting for Aria’s reply, he moves on to investigate the trail of blood.
