Only thing I care about is that it doesn’t stray from why the thread was created in the first place to have fun with the darkest dungeon

I can understand no full blown erotic posts, describing all things between schlongs and holes. Though I see no reason to not enter the realms of breasts and asses.
I believe Disney, a child oriented movie company, has produced scenes of complete back-side nudity. I see no reason for us to be restrained by PG-13. PG-13+ at the very least, my kind sir.
My reasoning for this is, as I have been preaching, a little more venturous vocabulary. But it will also free up the opportunity to be a little more intimate and loving in the romances. It may also allow us to bring to light certain quirks of characters, without cutting off sharply and being left a little lackluster.

I am curious as to why you are so against it. I understand and agree on not wanting to read about one man ploughing another right down to the very juices that patter on the floorboards, but I do not agree on describing how one disrobes the other teasingly or how they pinch or grope elsewheres. Fading to black when it begins involving areas of the sex, I also understand.

I’ve never really had a problem with the gore factor of the RP, so I have yet to have any complaints with how it is handled.

I am against it because regardless of what you say it does not actually benefit the story of any characters to include this level of romantic play.
For years people wrote books and movies with some of the best stories ever created made entirely without the inclusion of breast and butt descriptions.
If you can prove that it is needed (and I mean really needed) I will cease my objections immediately.

I will hopefully finalize the rules when we’re all in agreement.

Personally, in terms of romance, especially the physical side of it, it makes me uncomfortable to read things that are over PG-13. Could we compromise and raise the limit to T, but request that things that are over PG-13 be hidden in spoiler tags?

I would be more than happy with the compromise proposed by Vanity. Especially as the intent would most truly desire the attentions of the person’s companion than anyone more focused elsewhere.

I completely understand the uncomfortability of reading mildly erotic material. In the end, it is a personal preference because I find it easier to write more blatant things than metaphors and similes. I agree it is not needed, and I apologize if I came off as a bit aggressive or assertive in my rebuttal. Although, one of your statements, that “…it does not actually benefit the story of any characters…” I believe is false; it would allow a more intriguing way to adapt quirks of characters, most prominently Deviant Tastes, or perhaps even others such as Dacnomania, or others I cannot name off the top of my head.
Not to forget, My breast and bust mentioning was… meant to be a little more metaphorical than literal ^~^”

And another apology from my end as it looks like your reply got reported for some reason ._.

So this is just a quick explanation/apology for the character of Dr.Weston.
I created Weston without really putting much thought into any lines or boundaries he might cross within the thread. I understand his a a deeply distasteful character and I apologize if he made anyone uncomfortable. I went over him and I realized that I created him without really much purpose outside of being yet another threat to Lavinia/Blood/anyone else who enters the sanitarium. I think that while he was fun to write, fun to write does not always translate into fun to read/interact with. So I just wanted to apologize to everyone for this character, and I promise not to do anything like this again due to the rather unsavory notions he presents and his very borderline disturbing actions.
    Sorry guys,I fucked up.

I have to say, I agree with Blood on the matter of mildly erotic content. For me, a crucial part of the RP is to make the world feel somehwat realistic. And let’s face it, sexuality and the such is one of the most important parts of life and culture. Censoring it to an even bigger extent would take away from the overall grittiness and relation to reality. Just my two cents on the matter, I respect other opinions as much as my own.

On another note, I have heard that certain people were unhappy with Solomon being a ghost or spiritual being. In fact, I had originally not wanted to reanimate him because I felt like people would view it as a cop-out to him coming back to life again. However, if the overall consent corresponds with the opposite, I shall make efforts to make him human again.

So it has come to my attention that certain matters have yet to be resolved in a manner with the rules set out by Good Vanity.
I will expect these matters to be resolved swiftly or I will speak with those whose characters the issues involve regarding ways to bring this matter to a close.

I have a rule suggestion:you cannot just say something is the way it is and not give concrete reasoning behind it.
and another:When a character has any magic at all they must be regulated strictly.

Small announcement: Edited the main thread on page 2509 due to Hix’ absence. Golo does not pull the trigger and the scene can therefore continue, until direct interventions are made to the fight.

I know I said something like this yesterday but I want to put it here just to clarify and have it easy for people to find.

When I run Dungeon or any event really, I would appreciate it if any players that wish to participate not bring any characters they are not comfortable with loosing. I am not running a grinder but when the shit hits the fan my bad guys shoot to kill and I do not pull my punches.
I want to make it clear that last night I dialed it down a lot at peoples requests because I felt that maybe they had missed any warning I may have given.
As far as I am concerned when your characters step into my ring they are not in any way guaranteed to leave but also I will never force any character into a scenario I do not think they can handle.
