So I guess the master strat is using stun stacking and healing/destressing to max during combat, and drawing out winning fights to do that. Boss combats are different ofc.
So what the developers decided to do (to counter that one strat) is just let the Ai mega crit people, and to have the “curse” have all sorts of stupid events and negative stats- like making your character pass in the middle of combat, smacking their own comrades, and stressing over every pile of treasure or combat wound. Its boring and stupid. You have to play so many extra missions when the rng decides to triple crit/bleed one of your characters to death. Its a grind, its not hard its RANDOM. Its also ANNOYING, losing control of your characters so much.
The items are poorly balanced and uncreative- why should I use the rat carcass and the wasting scroll when the character will just pass and sabotage the team anyway. Low level items are just too worthless and the higher quality items are easy to see which ones are worthless and which ones you always want. Needs more protection giving items.
I refuse to play on the lowest Difficulty setting, I play on medium, and having to change enemy crits from insane level to max damage feels like cheating.
I have changed all my reviews of this game to massively negative on steam. The positive reviews are probably playing on radiant fairy mode. I never would’ve bought this game or the dlc if I knew they would going to make the game so punitive and repetitive. There needs to be twice as many creatures (FOR VARIETY) and half the chance of infection rate for the curse. The rate of losing control or stressing out over nothing needs to go down. The houndmaster needs like a 1% chance increase to land his stress heal, per level, the jester/crusader gets so old after awhile for stress healing.
Characters need to be buffed up to the flagellant level of power, or him and the enemy crits nerfed.August 11, 2017 at 3:38 am #317343
So you came here to screech that the game is too hard for you because you refuse to play it on lower difficulty settings… Really?August 11, 2017 at 3:45 am #317348
Low IQ people like yourself project too much. “really” “screech” “its the current year, it must be my way”. Virtue signal somewhere else kid. If you could read, you would realize “too hard” did not make my list. Glad your life is so horrible, that you troll these forums.August 12, 2017 at 11:55 pm #317450

I would tell you to go back and read the post, but you wrote and thus should be aware of its content. Pretty much the entire thing is one long butt hurt rant about how the game mechanics were too tough and unfair and how all sorts of different game mechanics need to be changed to make the game easier because you personally had trouble with it. You then let it slip that despite the fact that you find the game to be too hard for your personal skill level, you are still choosing not play it on the easier setting which created specifically for casual players who find the game too challenging at the normal difficulty settings.
I am so sick and tired of people blaming the RNG or the game’s “unfair” mechanics for their shortcomings as a player. This is a specific example of a much wider problem in our society which is how people love to blame everything and everyone but themselves when things go wrong. There are people who can consistently breeze through this entire game on the hardest difficulty settings without losing a single character so you can’t just go and claim that RNG is the determining factor on whether you win or lose.
What makes your example particularly egregious is that not only are your screeching about the game being too hard, but you are doing so while refusing to play it on the difficulty setting specifically made for people like you who have trouble tackling the complexities of the normal game. If you were playing the game on Radiant and it was still too tough for you there would be some merit to your arguments. What your entire post boils down to is that you are some guy who chose to play a game known for it’s difficulty level on one of it’s more challenging settings and then after becoming frustrated by said difficulty you decided to rant about how flawed and overly tough the game mechanics are and various ways they need to be nerfed rather than acknowledging that your own choices and shortcomings led directly to the problems you were having.
“The fault is not in our stars but ourselves.”
In my first response to your angry, self-indulgent post I was even relatively polite about it. I didn’t call you an imbecile or a scrub. I just pointed out very succinctly what made your butt hurt rant so illogical and silly which was you were ranting about the difficulty while refusing to play on easy mode, and then you turned around and directly insulted me as a response. Anyway, since you seem to be begging for a more detailed rebuttal, here you go.
