Hello! I had been deeply considering and thinking over a new hero class, the masochist, which is mainly just the personality of a masochist, along with a happy demeanor, combined with fairly basic battle stuff. She is an average height and weight, with pitch black hair in long pig tails, she is covered in scars from head to toe, wears loose leather clothing that shows off her scars, and wields two long, black leather straps laden with spikes. She is overly friendly, accepting of even her enemies, and for reasons she is yet to tell to anyone, her mind is as shattered as her body is bloodied.

    Please give the rules thread that I linked you earlier a really thorough read-through. ;v;

To start: custom or fanmade classes are not allowed, and all heroes must start at level 0.

I’ve changed my mind now, with a bit of talk from the mod. I’ll just make her a female highwayman with a masochist personality, sorry for everything. She’ll probably have the same clothes and appearance though, maybe weapons.

Since my archer hasn’t received any negative (or any at all) feedback, I’ll just introduce her into the RP now.

I think you overgeneralized what vanity said. By custom class he meant those classes which have nothing to do whatsoever with the lore itself. Seriously, we have an arbalist class in the game, so why not an archer?

No, custom classes are just not allowed at all.

You can give her the arbalest skillset and stats, and customize the weapons and armor if you want. But we agreed to not do custom classes anymore, as was discussed on the OOC about a month ago.

Please give this a really good read.

Wow. Well then, never mind this class at all, sheesh. I wonder what made all of you just ban any custom classes like that.

Anyway, I’ll just stick with the nexus created classes from now on.

Wow. Well then, never mind this class at all then, sheesh. I wonder what made all of you just ban any custom classes like that.

They tend to be too powerful for the nature of the RP. Before, the community has been balancing them individually, but this lead to some pretty unfun arguments, and the custom classes need to keep being balanced as they level up.

You can still have an archer, but she will have to use the same exact stats as the arbalest.

    Edit: Also, nexus created character mods aren’t much better, either. Some of them are really OP. Please just stick with the given classes or make a hybrid class if you really have to. ;o;

I would stick with one of actionjack’s classes. I played around with a few of them, seemed pretty fun and balanced.
But still. This will be the last non-vanilla class I will ever make. Having more than 3 main characters is, for me, too overwhelming.
Hm… or maybe I will use the merchant class? Even though the way she works now is… pretty weird. (again, for me. I have no idea about you guys since no one made a merchant class)

Actionjack’s mods are great, but they’re still custom classes, and I’d like to not set a precedent. I mean, character mods are just custom classes that you can download.

I would much rather you make a merchant class. :^D We don’t see a lot of those around here.

    No custom classes.
We have these rules for very specific reasons. You want an Archer? What is wrong with an Arbalest?
Most of these ideas already exist within the game in some way shape or form.
Want a sapper? Bounty Hunter, has an axe and uses explosives.
Want an Archer or Bowman? Use an Arbalest and change the fluff.
    Swordsman? Highwayman with no guns.
Acrobat? Graverobber with a pole instead of a pickaxe.
    Bard? Jester in people clothes.
It’s all there already just work with what we have please. It takes a bit longer but it causes less hassle.

    Rake

    Slam

    Camping Skills
    Wound Care
    The Quickening
    Eldritch Blood

    Appearance:
Human: Rake is an extremely muscular and well-built man with a number of sturdy chains wrapped around his waist, arms, and chest under a set of torn and ragged looking clothing. His once handsome and rugged facial features are now mired by a plethora of gashes, scars, and burns. His eyes glow a faint yellow gold, which he keeps constantly down casted, but to those that have a keen sense about them, they would notice that they are sharp and intelligent. Raek is quiet and keeps to himself, and despite what he is, is slow to anger.

Beast: His beast form is even more muscular, and a dark hue of red. His bestial head is like a blunted dragon, with rows of crocked thick, and long teeth, the canines being thicker and longer. Four horns twist up from the cranium, and a number of thick bony spikes run down the length of his thick bull like neck and down the back. His two extremely powerful arms end in wickedly sharp claws and his powerful legs holding his slightly hunched posture, ready to enter into the fray.

    Back Story:
Rakes history is a quagmire of broken memories, both real and imaginative. What he was, or how he became what he is, has been lost to the shattering of his reality. He is plagued by images of fighting for a greater cause. Images of being trapped in a dark place. Images of love, and torment. Images of purity, and images of corruption. Who he was doesn’t matter so much as what it is he can become.

I totally understand the rule about no custom hero classes, but I’ve looked through the rules and I’d like to ask, what about custom bosses? It’s fine if not, I just didn’t notice it in the rules, maybe my heads not on straight or something, but just asking anyways.

We do custom bosses all the time here. Hit up the bounty board, that’s where the action is.
