He wears a blue & white embroidered cloak, but usually doesn’t wear the hood. He has a large bag on his right side, one of its pockets is used as a quiver and is filled with slim bolts. There is an old and empty censer alongside lots of antiseptics, healing salves and bandages inside one of the bigger pockets.

    Backstory:
    He comes from an impoverished high-class family. His mother is a retired royal markswoman and his father is an antiquarian. He came to the Darkest Estate to hopefully find his parents and reacquire his family’s lost wealth.

    Personality:
    He is well educated but innocent and inexperienced. He is well-spoken but shy. He is a pacifist and may insist on finding a peaceful solution to fights. He has an androgynous, soft voice that could be described as somewhat soothing to the mind. His ablutomania makes him a bit selfish and repulsive; he can be much more helpful and supportive if he can get past it. He is fond of various gems and minerals and wants to make a small collection of them.

    She is rather thin, and of very average height.

    Items:

    She wields a shoddy, but clean Musket Rifle and a small flintlock pistol as a sidearm, strapped onto her back and holstered into one of her pockets respectively.
    Her simple contestant coat allow her some good mobility, at the cost of reduced resistance. The many pockets in said coat also allow her to carry around the material to clean her rifle practically anywhere.

    Backstory:

    Célestine used to be a Lady, daughter of a rich Count and a serious Duchess. Célestine never enjoyed the life she had to live as the daughter of two noble people; she eventually befriended an ex-Lady who became a Grave Robber, who learned him some useful tips. Tasting the delicious freedom she experienced with Sophy the Grave Robber, Célestine left her home, stealing her father’s musket used for hunting purposes and one of the servant’s coats. Sophy died when the both of them were attacked by brigands, leaving the Musketeer alone, roaming the lands in search of a challenge to forget her friend’s death.

    Personality:

    She is well educated and very polite; she never falls to violence unless needed to. While she is not religious herself, she deeply respects the people worshipping the Light, but despises the most zealous of them who commit horrifying acts against “heretics”, falling into barbary.
    While she is a lone wolf, Célestine gladly befriend people who prove to her she can trust them.
    But behind this gentle personnality, hides a need to see blood flow at her feet, an unquenchable thirst for death and blood…

    You can only have 3 camping skills at the start, too. You can get the 4th one from the Survivalist once you have enough money for it.

    By the way, does the Musketeer have different stats than the Arbalest in-game? Because if the stats are the same and the information on the wiki isn’t incorrect you have 10 more Dodge, 3 more Speed, completely different resistances and 2.5% less Crit than Arbalest’s.

    Now that I’ve noticed, Gurolath has weird resistances, too. I think I need an explanation from the mods or the character creators. 🙁

    Appearance

    Nicholas has never been seen by anyone in the Hamlet outside of his enormous silver armor.
    His armor seems even bulkier than a Crusader’s, protecting him well against his ennemies, at the cost of speed. His oversized pauldrons show respectively a torch being held by a gauntled hand and a calice. His helmet shows two thin, rectangular holes to allow him to see; however, nobody can see through them.

    Items:

    He wields a massive, devastating longsword named Ingelldina. It is finely crafted, and the blade is bathed regulary into holy water when it is possible. His bulky silver armor shows several purity seals and deeds of his actions; he wears them not out of vanity, but because if he falls and his body cannot be retrieved in time, all one have to do is to take the deeds off his armor so that he nor his order are forgotten.

    Backstory:

    Once a brutal and merciless thug, Nicholas changed his path when his group of bandits attacked a village, and the Bloodletter leading them killed the woman he loved. Fueled with fury, the Highwayman waited for his companions to sleep, before slicing their throats one by one.
    Lost, and with no reason to live, he returned his flintlock pistol to his head, about to pull the trigger, when he was knocked back by a hit from a mace.
    Maria, the young Vestal who saved him by stopping his suicide attempt, brought him to her order, where he soon found himself interested in the Light. Two years later, Nicholas was an Apprentice Crusader, one of many sent to the crusades with Maria; marked by the horrors of the war and the end of chivalry, the man never managed to go on, always reliving the most terrible moments of the crusades.
    He joined the order of the Torch Bearers, hoping to go forth and forget about his fallen brothers; sadly for him, the order was utterly destroyed by cultists near the Darkest Estate. One of the few survivors of the now disbanded order, Nicholas swore to avenge his brothers and embarked on the stage coach to the Darkest Estate along with Maria, his only friend.

    Personality:

    While he is silent most of the time, his voice is deep and clear. Nicholas is a zealous warrior, with no tolerance for any form of heresy or mutations. Merciless in his duty, he often regards the other adventurers as disposable assets to get closer to his goal. However, should one try to communicate with him and show no sign of heresy or witchcraft, a companionship can be forged rather easily with him, based on trust and loyalty.

    Appearance:
    Few see the face of a leper, and Baswynn is no different. His bronze mask is polished nightly, making the nicks and scratches evermore prevalent and it’s brightness a stark contrast to the rest of him. His armor is the same bronze as his mask, but more dull and clearly less cared for. The dings on his chest plate give testament to past bouts. A red cloak covers his hairless and skinless scalp, white bloody bandages cover his arms, half to confuse his enemies, and half mere reckless disregard.

    Backstory:
    His life, or at least what’s left of it, was fueled by loss. The only thing he speaks of is the disease that became his life. The past is irrelevant now. All that matters is the Light, battle, and his companions.
