Duval hummed delightfully, leaning his head into her hand as if it were a cub nuzzling against its mother. When the hand slinked away, he grinned at Grace with that devious look in his eyes.

“Bah! The place is quiet as it always has! Watch, watch!”
Duval ushered on, making their turn toward the stairway, the opaque veil of dust and scent of wax burning hung about in the air, and although there was little activity in the Abbey at this time, people were still sleeping.. which was enough for Duval to..

    “Heeellloooo?!”
Duval raised his voice a little, his voice echoing off up through the stairway as they made their way, arm slung over shoulder.

“Now come onnn, you gotta blow off some steam somehow! Go onnn.. it’ll be a good laugh!”
Duval cackled, expecting her to disagree and storm off without him. This only meant he could watch her lower end move…

“Maaans gotta do what a mans gotta… Do!”
Duval tittered on in his mind, clearly somewhat intoxicated to knock off his gentlemanly side, but not enough to throw his wits away.

“Eh?” Titus utters as he puts his left hand against his neck, his dark brown eyes widening a little upon realizing the towel around his neck is gone. “It’s nothing, just some scars I’ve had for a long time,” Titus remarks tersely as he retrieves his neck towel from the floor.

Adonis slowed down a little, but still used this oppurtunity to get dressed. All that was left was his vest and mask before he had all his attire on, which wouldn’t be hard.

“Are you sure? Those looked a lot worse than ‘just some scars.’ I am a doctor you know, one of the best from Paris if I so boldly say. I could see if I can’t treat them, no?” He said, half serious.

“… No fixing tainted blood.” Titus mutters.

“Tainted blood? Are you telling me you have some sort of… Plague or sickness in your viens? I can again see if I can cure that, wouldn’t be much of a hassle unless it was incredibly contagious.” Adonis said, putting on his mask. His speech would be more muffled now, but thankfully unlike most other masks this one allowed speech to pass by much more easily. The floral design that matched the one on his coat and vest was a bonus of looks.

His mask was one that covered the lower half of his face just below the nose, curving upward as it traveled backwards to his neck helping it hold in place. The design was ornate, like his vest, had patterns of flowers on it, all of them colored yellow while the mask itself was, once again, black.

His clothes were black in color, cotton in construction, with floral patterns spread across a vest. The buttons running up and down, while the lappels on it were a single set of white, ivory in make. Plain black dress pants were also black with shoes to match and socks as well, both black and made specifically for his body type. He also now had a cane in hand, his clothing incredibly fancy in all terms of the word. The gloves were an exception of his color scheme, as they were white, made of a combination of silk and leather.

The occultist had no words for what just happened. He surpressed Xuul with seething anger.

Ibrahim could at least manage to contain his anger outwardly. “No. I do not have a death wish. But you do not look like an avid church-goer.” He fixed his eyes on Courcy with a questioning look of his black eyes. “It was a theoretical discussion, nonetheless. Hardly anything heretical.”

He lets only a small sigh. The skull disappears in his robes. “I could leave, if you wish. This seems like a private issue.” He stands up and addresses Florence.

    “Don’t bother. I didn’t mean to interrupt.”
Courcy regarded the occultist curiously as he hid the skull from her. She couldn’t help feeling that something more than theoretical was in fact going on, though she couldn’t guess at what. A fleeting question passed through her mind, stuck at the tip of her tongue, but it went unspoken.
“I’d rather get out of here myself, as I’m obviously not ‘avid’.”
The ginger turned her attention to Florence’s protruding beak, sighing at the sight of the doctor tending to her precious notes. Courcy quietly envied her simplicity – to have her nose buried in scribbles, hiding from the sort of unwanted attention that the hellion had amassed herself. Crossing her arms, she idly rubbed at the hand-print scar on her wrist.

Florence busied herself with tending to her notes; smeareed badly, but not entirely unsalvageable. She could manage to make out the words if she squinted, and so she did.

“I do not have an issue against Courcy.”

She set the collection of notes down on the desk surface to inspect her newly ink-splotched robes. The sight was not entirely troubling, given that they were in need of re-dyeing as they were, and it was certainly not the worst stain to wear, given her profession.

“I do enjoy this abbey. It is very hospitable.” The Crowgazer nodded her beaky head, wheeling stiffly around to face both Ibrahim and Courcy, “But it is understandable to experience discomfort.”

“Thank you, Courcy.” She watched her a moment, as if making silent, internal calculations behind her lenses.

She propped both arms up, stuck straight out with open palms, and took a hesitant step forward; it was as if she had only been described in words how to perform a hug, and attempted one herself.

“Tainted in the Church’s sense of the word, Doc.” Titus remarks with a toothy, but resigned smile, which also has the effect of showing off the mouthful of fangs he possesses.

“I see…. Well, then all I can offer is a swift death if you so want to choose it. May we never cross paths in battle, for I will not be so kind as to let you walk and leave you alone as I do now. Know that as long as the church deems you tainted, we can never be known as friends.” Adonis warned, his entire demeanor changing from friendly as a stranger, to worried like a doctor, to deadly serious as a knight would be. He said nothing more, and proceeded to leave the bathhouse.

“Me mum never asked for a son like me!” Titus snaps. “She weren’t no crazed zealot in a cult! She was a strong, pretty maiden that some wave-born monster took a liking to.” Titus calls after Adonis.

Duval giggled childishly at first, but that was before she headbutted him. A thud, hard and heavy hitting, connected with the side of his jaw. It wasn’t hard enough to take any teeth out, but it did cause his arm to unlink and pushed into the wall, along with causing his jaw to ache.

Dazed, and reeling, he stopped in his tracks and remained stunned for a moment. He had taken a healthy number of blows, and this one wasn’t that special. Not to mention that she was justified, since even he himself could realise he was being a bit of a nonce.

    “..Weeeeelll… I trust you won’t fall over.”
Duval said as he leaned off the wall, and faced the direction down the stairs before taking a couple steps down, holding his jaw.

    “G’niiiiggghhht.”
Duval hummed, though he did hiss a little out of irritation of the blunt blow as he made his way down, letting Grace carry on her way… and hopefully, he wouldn’t be suplexed on his way down by the muscular woman.

Adonis stopped at the door, turning back to look at Titus with a puzzled look at his outburst.

“I never said anything about your mother. Poor woman then, still doesn’t excuse you.” He said, before opening up the door and walking out and away.

Grace suddenly hugged Duvall from behind as he tried to leave. “I’m Sorry…, she whispered sadly.
