    Hey Hamlet dwellers!

    Just wanted to throw out a quick little update on the iPad version and some issues users are facing with the iCloud. This is the message I got from our porting partner Blitworks:

    Looking into the problems with the saves, a bug has been found. Starting the game without internet connection will silently disable iCloud setting, without copying iCloud saves into the local save space. This will effectively “hide” all saves (they are still there, in iCloud folder). Going into settings and enabling iCloud back again, choosing the “Use iCloud data” option will bring them back again.

    Until a fix for this issue is rolled out, you may tell users of this temporary workaround. It should help with most of the cases, albeit not all of them.

    We are working on getting this fixed as well as a handful of other issues. Hopefully this helps those affected and helps prevent others from hitting the issue until we get it resolved.

    Hey Ser Pounce,

    Head over to translate.darkestdungeon.com and create an account. You can submit lines for any of the strings in the game. We have a big update to the french loc planned for later this year, since much was re-written.

    We have plans to address the back-touch on VITA. So hopefully in a patch soon you will have a better control scheme available.

    I also switched the Chinese branch to be for Chinese (Simplified) if you feel it should be Traditional instead let me know. I just wanted to help reduce confusion as I know there are big differences between Simplified and Traditional.

    I figured the forum would be good as you can see post history and also will help as people come to accepted terms for things. If you wanted a chat program you could do telegram but also SLACK is a great tool for stuff like this.

    Are you in any STEAM CLIENT betas? Not the game beta but with the steam client itself? We’ve had problems with the Steam Overlay in the client beta not playing nice.

    GOG users will have to wait until we push the update to the normal branch. Sorry, in advance, but this is the best and easiest way we can public playtest the update.

    So all buffs/DoTs count down on turn start. It’s how it’s always worked but I can bring this up to the design team to see if we want to address. Thanks for the post!
