There are many different ways to reduce the stress.
Your question: A Debuff? No.
In the battle you can heal stress. Like Jester and Knight or since crimson dlc anti-stress bottle against Horror.
There are many smarter ways.
You can move ememies, so they coudn´t use there strongest attacks. Only some ememies can use there attacks from first to fourth Position.
You can stun them, so they coudn´t attack. Or beat them fast with strong Heroes and teams. You can power up your dodge.
At my beginning with DD i try to reduce stress. But a really smart way is to use trinkets for a high virtue % and let them become virtuous.
Different enemies needs different strategies. Not only one is the best.
Well, thanks for the advice, but… I am not asking because I cannot deal with stress in-game, but because I wish to create a mod. A reduce-stress-damage-dealt debuff would simply be a nice option to add to your repertoire of combat strategies.
To reiterate: The question is not if there is a “reduce stress damage dealt”-debuff in the game, but if you could create one via modding(and how to go about doing so).
My experience in this stuff is limited, but I would guess that since there are trinkets that affect a character’s stress healing (e.g. the Jester’s bright tambourine), it should be similarly possible to apply a bonus or penalty to modify a character’s stress damage.
This sounds like the usual “something very small has gone wrong”-error. Just check everything… I hope you’ll find it <3
A good idea(Despite being quite lengthy) is to add everything you modded one at a time to a working state(Like, start by making a copy of a leper or something, then go add your first ability, then second etc, then start adding all animation and visuals one at a time).
This could help you actually pin down where to look for the issue. It takes awhile, but if nothing else works, it’s a surefire way to see results.
